THE DREAM OF A LIFETIME, The perfect gift.

How To Dance With Two Left Feet... A Complete Guide To "Real World Dancing"DVD...3 Disc Set By Chuck Reed

Lots of people “Dream” about being able to dance fluidly and beautifully.
It is my belief that with my technique & style, that, for most, this “dream” can come true.

Every age group can benefit. It helps build character & self confidence & the “I can do it” attitude. Women feel like Cinderella & the men feel like a Knight in shining armor. It gives a sense of accomplishment. It is rewarding, physically & mentally.

This 2hr DVD is unlike any other dance video on the market. It approaches in a positive manner sensitive topics like, how to deal with fears, apprehensions, & how to eliminate the awkwardness of learning to dance. Also, how to approach a potential dance partner & dealing with the sting of rejection. As well as, what are “spaghetti arms” and “gorilla hands”? It gives techniques that help partners become better communicators.
This DVD has flowing graphics with humor & is entertaining for families, couples or singles.
This simple, easy, uncomplicated style of dance can be used with every type or style of music.

GETTING ON THE DANCE FLOOR IS A BIG STEP

JUST WALKING ONTO THE DANCE FLOOR IS A BIG STEP FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE.
I have seen people standing at the edge of the dance floor wanting to join in the fun but unable to take that last step onto the dance floor. Some people rely on liquid courage before they can handle getting on the dance floor. Others are afraid they will look stupid or everyone will be looking at them, proving to themselves that they don’t know what they are doing in front of everbody.
Whatever the reason, it all comes down to fear. Fear is a big factor in many of our decisions we make, on and off the dance floor. Realizing this is the first step to facing our fears and getting the courage to tackle them.
Courage comes from knowledge and knowledge is power. When you understand this, you will automatically become empowered, having the confidence to take that next step.
This subject and many more are covered in my DVD, “How To Dance With Two Left Feet”… A Complete Guide To “Real World Dancing.” By Chuck Reed available at www.realworlddancing.com or at www.amazon.com

Real world Dancing tip #43, "HIGH-STEPPING" NOT NEED TO APPLY, when you step on the dance floor.

By Chuck Reed
Here is a "Real World Dancing," practical dancing tip for everyone. Hope you enjoy.

Dancing tip #43 High Stepping not need to apply on the dance floor!
Whether you are dancing to my “PortStar” method, or free-styling it at
a club. Always remember to keep your feet low to the ground. Not only
the effects of “high-stepping” it, gets you out of natural rhythm of
the music, therefore making you look off balance.
It also takes away the smooth, gliding in control look you want to
project, And to make things worse, if you have the high-stepping going
on, and you also add on other movements that you might be doing with your hands, arms, and hips, it just adds to the bad effect you’re not
trying to project.

By keeping your feet low to ground it gives you the time you need to
stay in time with the music and puts you in control of all your moves,
and then, when you add a little extra in your hips or any other parts of
your body you look “all together” in control and confident.
This subject is covered in the 1st disc of my DVD “How to Dance With Two Left
Feet”… A Comprehensive Guide to “Real World Dancing” DVD by Chuck Reed released 11/07

DEALING WITH REJECTION / ASKING SOMEONE TO DANCE

Advantage of the PortStar method # 8
DEALING WITH REJECTION / ASKING SOMEONE TO DANCE

By using the tools of the PortStar method, not only will you overcome the fears and apprehensions that keep most people off the dance floor, or that fear of being rejected that might keep you from asking someone to dance.

Whether you are 15 or 99 1/2 years old, dealing with rejection after you ask someone to dance feels the same. First off, it might have taking you all night to ask that special someone that you want to meet and to get the courage to ask them for a dance, and when you do ask you got turned down “FLAT” and now that walk back to your spot is the longest walk you have ever known.

First off let me say “Relax” it happens, But most of the time it has nothing to do with you. There are a lot of reasons someone might say no to your invitation. For example they might be shy themselves or they may not be comfortable with their own dancing abilities and are afraid to put themselves out on the dance floor. Or it might be something as simple as, they might be having a bad hair day and just don’t want to be bothered, or a list of many, many other reasons.

As I said before, most of the time it as nothing to do with you.

This subject is covered more completely in Disc 1 of my DVD “How To Dance With Two Left Feet”

SMILING…SMILE WHEN YOU LEARN TO DANCE.

Don’t forget to smile when you are learning how to dance with two left feet. During the learning process smiling just naturally relaxes you and the people around you. Remember one of my big mottos, “Dancing is not WORK… it’s supposed to be FUN.” and should be treated that way. When you are learning, smiling, and having fun with it, and you do happen to do something the wrong way, instead or getting angry or frustrated with yourself or your partner, you’ll both just laugh about it (you may even do it again on purpose, and get a bigger laugh) and move on, everybody happy and still “HAVING FUN”

Awkwardness in learning to dance before Chucks DVD

WHY DOES DANCING FEEL AWKWARD? :Whether you are learning to dance or you just feel awkward dancing it always comes to the same thing. When you were a child and you heard music you would feel the natural rhythm of the music and would move in the way that felt natural, as you got older that was replaced withstep...step...step, and people became more worried with where their feet should be in a step, step.step pattern that they forget the most important part ...the natural rhythm...the music. In order to eliminate that awkward feeling in learning and in dancing you need to feel and hear the music so you will know exactly when to move your feet. Not the other way around. That is shown how in Disc One Chapter Six in the DVD "How to dance with two left feet."
